Beechwood Home 2017 Gala

One Family, One Cause Gala Raises Funds for Long-Term Care for Residents

Three caring members of one remarkable family were honored for their tireless dedication and commitment to the residents of The Beechwood Home on October 21. Adele McGraw Craft, her brother Michael McGraw, and Adele’s daughter Marty Craft Walsh were recognized at the One Family, One Cause Gala by The Beechwood Home, a not-for-profit, long-term care nursing facility dedicated to helping residents with neurological conditions live their most fulfilling lives.

Adele Craft is a current board member, serving two years as board president and on multiple committees. Marty is currently the first chair of the newly formed Beechwood Home Young Leaders group and has brought enthusiasm, new ideas and leadership to the group for the benefit of Beechwood residents. Mike is a generous benefactor and has attended numerous events and outings to support Beechwood.

The three honorees were recognized for their support by Rich Oliver, president of The Beechwood Home Foundation, David and Sara Osborn, long-time Beechwood supporters, and Patricia Clark, CEO of The Beechwood Home. “We are blessed to be the beneficiary of Adele’s, Marty’s and Mike’s time, talent and treasure,” Clark said. “They truly are making a difference for our residents.”

The annual celebration dinner was filled with fun and music provided by Soul Pocket. Major sponsors were the Heidt Family Foundation, the Oliver Family Foundation, PNC and the Williams Family.

The Beechwood Home promotes residents’ independence and rehabilitation in a comfortable, enjoyable, family-like home with personalized services that foster hope and support. Thanks to the commitment of a group of civic leaders, The Beechwood Home opened its doors in 1890 in a rented house in Mt. Auburn, and moved to its present location in Hyde Park 12 years later. The Beechwood Home has been recognized for excellence in long-term care by many organizations over the years. As people live longer and the need for The Beechwood Home’s services grows, Beechwood looks forward to offering specialized expertise and welcoming new residents for generations to come.
