WHY THERAPEUTIC RECREATION IS IMPORTANT
Therapeutic Recreation & Social Enrichment provide programs and services — recreational, educational, pastoral care, music and so many more — that focus on enhancing residents’ independence to the full extent of their functional abilities and supporting them through their life transitions. We use therapeutic recreation to enhance or maintain current physical, social, and cognitive abilities of our residents.
The Beechwood Home offers its residents numerous outlets to explore, learn, grow and have full lives all while enhancing their skills and capabilities towards independence. Programs are offered in a variety of settings: individual, small group, large group, in-house, and in the community. Programs are provided by Recreation Therapist (CTRS), recreation staff, pastors, volunteers and professionals in their field
