Mission & Vision
To provide a high level of long-term care in a family-like environment for adults 18 years of age and older with chronic neurologic conditions.
Our Mission
The mission of Beechwood is to provide a high level of care designed to improve the quality of life for residents of the home. The mission is accomplished by:
- Promoting resident independence, functional retention, and personal dignity in a comfortable, enjoyable, family-like home, with personalized services that foster hope and mutual support.
- Offering – as a non-profit, philanthropic, non-sectarian, skilled nursing home – specialized, extensive, long-term health services to male and female adults 18 years of age and older of every race, creed, national origin, and economic status who have chronic, progressive, and disabling neurologic conditions.
- Providing with genuine empathy and compassionate understanding for the needs of the whole person through resident-oriented services such as: physical, occupational, and speech therapy, quality meal service, and a full range of social, cultural, religious, and recreational activities.
Our Future Horizon
The vision of Beechwood Home is to be recognized as a regional leader in the long term management of neurological disorders of adults.
The Three Pillars
How our Philosophy Dictates Operations
Clinical Specificity
We do not accept every type of patient. By focusing exclusively on complex neurological and physical deficits, our nursing staff and therapists possess a depth of specific expertise that is impossible to replicate in a generalized geriatric nursing home.
Whole-Person Dignity
A medical diagnosis does not erase a person's need for joy, socialization, and independence. Our immersive therapeutic recreation, adaptive technologies, and community outings nourish the soul exactly as our medicine heals the body.
Non-Profit Purpose
As an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we answer only to our residents and our community—not to remote shareholders. This allows us to make operational and staffing decisions based purely on what elevates resident care.
Customer Service
Putting our residents and their families first in all that we do.
Continuous Quality Improvement
Always looking to elevate our care and operational standards.
Innovation
Constantly seeking new therapies and technologies that restore resident independence.
Efficient Resource Management
Responsibly stewarding our resources for the benefit of those we serve.
Our Non-Negotiable Values
At The Beechwood Home, words on a wall don't dictate behavior—actions do. Our core values reflect the uncompromising standards set by our founders and embraced daily by our dedicated care teams.
Whether communicating clinical information to families or coordinating a community outing, our staff operates through a lens of profound respect for the individual.
