More Than Care.
A Place to Thrive.
A medical diagnosis should not erase a life well-lived. At The Beechwood Home, our philosophy extends far beyond clinical excellence. We are dedicated to providing a vibrant, active, and deeply fulfilling lifestyle for every resident.
Designed for Comfort and Dignity
Our home is architecturally designed specifically for individuals with mobility and neurological challenges. Wide corridors, automated entryways, and barrier-free access points ensure that regardless of the assistive device used, the entire facility is maneuverable.
- Personalized Living Spaces: We offer both private and semi-private rooms. Residents are encouraged to decorate their rooms with family photos, favorite blankets, and personal electronics to make the space truly their own.
- Homelike Environment: Our goal is to decorate the facility in a manner that reflects a home versus a medical facility. We achieved this though integration of hardwoods throughout the facility, antique painting and furniture and custom painted private rooms.

"It didn't feel like a hospital. It just felt like a very supportive home."

Beautiful Outdoor Spaces
Fully accessible, landscaped courtyards provide a safe, serene environment for residents to enjoy fresh air, gardening activities, and visiting with family.
Adjacent to the facility is the Bettman Center (a handicapped accessible Cincinnati Park), providing extra room to wander, relax, and appreciate the natural beauty of the neighborhood.
Barrier-Free Access
Our outdoor walkways are wide, level, and entirely accessible for both power wheelchairs and high-stability walkers.
Daily Life
While every resident's schedule is tailored to their specific medical baseline and personal preferences, life at Beechwood is structured for maximum engagement, purpose, and joy.

Specialized fitness programs are designed by our therapy team to meet the individual needs of each Resident
Therapeutic Recreation
Facility run group activities are scheduled throughout the day to enhance the quality of life of those who reside here
Self Directed Activities
Our facility has copious common spaces to enable residents, family and friends to participate in self directed activities.
Therapeutic Recreation
Our full-time Activities Manager design a robust daily calendar of cognitively stimulating, socially engaging, and simply fun activities tailored to all ability levels.
Music & Arts Therapy
Live musical performances, adaptive painting classes, and rhythmic interventions that stimulate memory, elevate mood, and encourage fine motor use.
Recreation & Entertainment
Through activities such as bingo, trivia, interactive games, and special events, we provide opportunities for residents to enjoy meaningful recreation, engage with others, and participate in experiences that reflect their interests and abilities.
Social Clubs
Coffee hours, structured discussion groups, book clubs, and movie nights foster a profound sense of community and prevent the isolation common in chronic illness.
Community Outings
Our specialized, wheelchair-accessible buses regularly take residents out into Cincinnati for shopping trips, restaurant visits, sporting events, and cultural experiences.
The Healing Power of Paws
There is a unique kind of medicine that doesn't come from a pharmacy. Our facility welcomes registered therapy dogs who visit weekly, providing unconditional love, tactile stimulation, and profound emotional comfort.
Furthermore, we understand how important personal pets are. Well-behaved, vaccinated family dogs and cats are always welcome to visit residents to maintain that crucial bond.
Dining with Dignity
Meals are a cornerstone of daily joy. Our executive culinary team prepares fresh, dietitian-approved meals that are as delicious as they are nutritious. We believe in providing choices, allowing residents to select from varied daily menus.

Pastoral Care
We respect all faith traditions. Our dedicated pastoral care staff provides non-denominational support, weekly services, and private spiritual counseling for residents and their families.
Family Integration
Families are not "visitors"; they are an extension of our community. We host family nights, holiday banquets, summer BBQs and routine care conferences to ensure family members feel connected to the facility.

Digital Independence
Physical limitations shouldn't mean isolation from the digital world. Our facility is equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi accessible from every room and courtyard. We actively support our residents in maintaining their digital lives.
A Symphony of Peers
Neurological diseases like Multiple Sclerosis, Huntington's, and early-onset Parkinson's often strike individuals in their 30s, 40s, and 50s. Being placed in a traditional geriatric nursing home can be incredibly isolating for a younger adult. At The Beechwood Home, our unique demographic means residents are surrounded by peers of similar age and life experience, creating deep, lasting friendships and a highly dynamic social atmosphere.
Our Location
Located in the heart of Cincinnati, our campus is easily accessible for families and friends visiting from across the region.
